Infancia agridulce y recuerdos de unos años sesenta en blanco y negro. De mi paso por el colegio de huérfanos de la Guardia Civil en Madrid y el Seminario de Toledo salgo con el cerebro extrañamente amueblado, unos rudimentarios conocimientos en el arte de tañer la guitarra y mis primeras canciones. Los años ochenta me pillan en Madrid estudiando Filología Hispánica mientras que, guitarra en mano, recorro todos los rincones de la movida madrileña, metro y pasos de peatones incluidos; en mi repertorio Bob Dylan, Donovan, Branduardi, Serrat, Lluis Llach, Pablo Guerrero… conviven con composiciones propias, «canciones frívolo-satírico-líricas» las llamaba yo y tenían muy buena acogida en la infinidad de pubs madrileños enamorados de la canción de autor por aquel entonces. Es también la época de festivales, certámenes y concursos que se volcaban en la promoción de la música folk y de autor, una sana competición en la que participé con frecuencia, ganando premios y, sobre todo, amigos.
Graduated in Hispanic Literature, in 1985 I began my teaching work as a language teacher in different institutes of the Spanish geography without abandoning live performances or composition. Based in La Mancha, in 1999 he founded, together with Pedro Chaparro, a singer-songwriter from Valdepeñas and with a long career, the ESPLIEGO Group with the aim of publicizing the work of Castilian-La Mancha poets through texts set to music. With little means and great enthusiasm, we recorded three albums «…con el tallo de un lirio», «El libro de Juan Alcaide» and «Amuleto de estrellas», different tours of the Castilian-La Mancha region made these works known.
By 2005 the group has consolidated and expanded. With the new formation Espliego embarks on three more ambitious projects: set the poems of Don Quixote to music, adapt and update the texts of the Provençal troubadours and, finally, a recreation of the poems of the medieval Goliards, all of which is reflected in the records «Nunca fuera caballero» (2005), «Cortes de Amor» (2007) and «La rosa del pecado» (2013).
Bittersweet childhood and memories of the sixties in black and white. From my time at the Guardia Civil school for orphans in Madrid and the Toledo Seminary I come out with a strangely furnished brain, some rudimentary knowledge of the art of playing the guitar and my first songs. Licenciado en Literatura Hispánica el año 1985 inicio mi labor docente como profesor de lengua en diferentes institutos de la geografía española sin abandonar las actuaciones en directo ni la composición. Afincado en tierras manchegas, en el año 1999 fundo junto a Pedro Chaparro, un cantautor de Valdepeñas y de larga trayectoria, el Grupo ESPLIEGO con el objetivo de dar a conocer la obra de los poetas castellano-manchegos a través de textos musicados. Grabamos con escasos medios y mucha ilusión tres discos «…con el tallo de un lirio», «El libro de Juan Alcaide» y «Amuleto de estrellas», diferentes giras por la geografía castellano-manchega dan a conocer estos trabajos.

Nowadays I combine the group's concerts with musical production work and I have recorded an album for which I have selected ten songs from the more than one hundred that I keep in my drawers. With the title "Between nowhere and oblivion" the album comes out in vinyl format and is also available on the main digital platforms. Along the way there have also been several plays, two books of poems, a book of unpublished short stories and the novel "El peluquero de la División Azul" that the Áltera publishing house was kind enough to publish for me in July 2014
Como guitarrista acústico publico en octubre de 2023 el álbum «Las Cinco Estaciones. Conciertos breves en afinación abierta». Cinco estaciones fuera del tiempo, cinco estados de ánimo del paisaje, cinco dedos que acarician las cuerdas buscando melodías perdidas, tan olvidadas que acaban siendo nuevas. Guitarra fingerstyle con leves aires clásicos. En febrero de 2024 dedico el disco «Ecos de Druidas» a la magia y el misterio de la guitarra celta. Diecinueve temas reunidos en seis suites temáticas, al modo de las Tríadas con las que los celtas organizaban sus creencias, leyendas, cuentos y su sabiduría ancestral.
